Dan Phillips, EMMY AWARD WINNING MAKEUP ARTIST, Owner of DP Studios, studied under the guidance of Oscar winning effects and makeup artist, Dick Smith. After completing the Dick Smith course in which Dan received the Dick Smith Certificate of makeup artistry professional caliber. Dan then went to learn Beauty , Fashion, and Corrective makeup from JLS Makeup School in LA. As a makeup artist for over 15 years, working in film, television, stills and every conceivable special event projects, Dan has become the most sought after makeup artist in the state of Michigan.

Dan has worked as a special effects makeup artist all over the world and some of Dan’s credits include THE HOBBIT TRILOGY AND REEL STEEL, just to name a few. Dan and his crew can offer one of the most experienced and skillful teams in the U.S. Dan also offers a full preproduction facility for all of your production needs.
